Committee outputs
As the PiMM Committee, we oversaw the development of:
- Facing the Future Standards for Acute General Paediatrics 2015 - standards which aim to deliver sustainable, high quality care to all children. Paediatrics should be 24 hours a day, seven days a week specialty. Need to re-examine the delivery of care, providing more care in the community, more primary healthcare professionals trained in child health and more paediatricians operating outside the hospital setting.
- Facing the Future Together for Child Health 2015 - standards to improve healthcare services for children. Must ensure that specialist child health expertise and support are available to strengthen primary care services, where the needs of the child and their family are known.
- Facing the Future Standards for Ongoing Health Conditions - this audit provides advice on how to deliver care in more innovative, effective and efficient ways.
- Bringing Networks to Life - guidance for establishing and managing formal and informal networks within children's health services.
- Standards for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition - standards aim to reduce variations in care and improve the health outcomes and quality of care for infants, children and young people with gastroenterology, hepatology and nutritional disorders.
