The Partnership intended to adopt a collaborative approach across maternity, gynaecology, neonatal and acute paediatric services, to reach a shared set of objectives.
Bringing together women, their families, clinicians, providers and commissioners, the Partnership aims to develop new models of care for women’s and children’s services across Cheshire and Merseyside. The vision is for these models to be designed for the population but with a focus on the needs of the individual.
As one of the ACC vanguards, the Partnership is required to assess its work and sought to commission an independent organisation to conduct an evaluation. The RCPCH, with input from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, is conducting this evaluation.
It is anticipated that the findings from this evaluation will:
- describe the progress of the Partnership vanguard,
- detail any lessons learned,
- include recommendations for progressing the work of the Partnership.
The report will also include advice for other areas of England seeking to adopt similar new models of care.
