James is a former partner in a Big 4 accounting firm, where he focused on risk management consultancy. He has 25 years' experience of audit and compliance matters across the private and public sectors, with a particular focus on leading large corporate investigations related to financial crime. He is also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
In the last few years, James has embarked on a career transition and is currently studying medicine in the Graduate Entry Programme at the Bart's and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
He is also a trustee at Starfish Greathearts Foundation UK, a charity that helps children in South Africa who are impacted by HIV/AIDS or other health and poverty issues, where he is primarily responsible for HR and Risk Management. He is also a first aid volunteer for St John Ambulance.
James joins RCPCH as an independent trustee and as a member of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee.
