The Chair is required to represent trainees on several RCPCH committees and to represent the College at meetings with other medical organisations including the Academy of the Medical Royal Colleges, the Department of Health and the GMC.
In this video, current Chair, Dr Emma Dyer, explained how this role makes a real difference to paediatric specialty training in the UK and ensuring the trainee voice is heard at the College.
Applicants must be paediatric trainees working in the UK who are Ordinary Members, in good standing with the College and residing in the UK. Applicants should not be in their final calendar year of training at the time of appointment except in exceptional circumstances approved by the Education & Training Executive.
