Our Thrive Paediatrics programme aims to help members create positive change at work. Our resource hub offers evidence, examples of good practice and stories from paediatricians' lived experience to help you improve both your own wellbeing and that of your colleagues.
The Thrive Paediatrics resource hub was published in September 2024 on RCPCH Learning.

Three key areas
- Evidence on wellbeing and working lives - This aims to support your development and back up your business cases and project proposals for positive change. Topics include burnout, compassionate leadership, psychological safety and civility.
- The roadmap in practice - This breaks down each area of our Roadmap for Transforming Working Lives of Paediatricians, with examples of good practice linked to each statement. You'll see ideas for what is possible and inspiration for what you might try in your own workplace.
- Lived experience - Many doctors will face unexpected personal challenges at some point during their careers, and this section shares paediatricians' experiences of overcoming challenging times. We hope these stories highlight that, if you are navigating a difficult time, you are not alone and, there is indeed more than one way to be a paediatrician.
Different formats and it continues to grow
We recognise we all learn differently. And so the resource hub has tools in different formats - from articles to books, from podcasts to videos.
The resource hub went live in early September 2024 as a soft launch. We'll continue to develop content, with good practice and stories shared by the Thrive Paediatrics community, so keep checking in. We welcome your examples of initiatives and actions that have contributed to improving wellbeing and working lives - email us on thrive@rcpch.ac.uk.
