Some of the feedback!
Winning the medical student prize and attending the RCPCH conference was such a memorable experience. The college staff were so supportive, the speakers were inspirational, and it was lovely to meet other medical students with shared interests. Thank you so much for this opportunity!Â
I was privileged enough to be chosen as the first Ulster University student to win the RCPCH’s Medical Student Prize. This incredible prize has afforded me with endless opportunities since the moment I won it. Firstly, I was invited to three days of the RCPCH conference with associated fees, travel and accommodation covered. I then had the opportunity to meet RCPCH's current and new president as well as a host of paediatricians and fellow budding paediatricians at the medical student prizegiving ceremony.  I had the opportunities to listen and learn from contemporary research and plenary speakers over the 3 days of the conference in Birmingham. I was offered the opportunity to attend the conference dinner and connect with some of the brilliant minds in paediatrics. I had the chance to meet and form lasting friendships with other medical students from across the United Kingdom who have a shared interest in paediatrics. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to confirm that a career path in paediatrics is destined for me!
The conference was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the successes of individuals in the field – I left feeling more inspired to pursue a career in paediatrics. Thank you being superb hosts!

I had a fantastic few days meeting professionals and attending a vast array of talks and presentations about Paediatrics. The experience most definitely reaffirmed my passion for Paediatrics and has left me feeling inspired and very excited for the future. A massive thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fabulous prize, here's to next year!
It was incredibly exciting to attend talks and workshops on practical new solutions and cutting-edge research in paediatrics. I was inspired by the ingenuity and work ethic of the physicians and young people in attendance and will be carrying many of these themes and ideas into my future clinical practice.
Attending the RCPCH24 conference as a medical student prize winner was an amazing experience. I made new friends and connections, attended fascinating workshops and talks, and was warmly welcomed by the RCPCH team. I highly recommend and wish I could do it again next year!
A huge thank you to the College for all their immense hospitality. Attending the conference was an invaluable opportunity both professionally and personally – it was a privilege to learn about some of the latest developments from leading paediatricians, network and meet my fellow future paediatricians! I look forward to seeing the same faces at future RCPCH Conferences.Ìý
