The Officer for Ireland holds an important position within the College. Working with many of the College teams, this role is exciting, challenging and rewarding for members wishing to make a difference through engaging in policy and advocacy.
This role involves engagement responsibilities, including meeting Northern Ireland ministers, politicians and senior leaders of other Colleges, and Health and Social Care organisations. Alongside this work, other opportunities include chairing Ireland Executive Committee meetings within the RCPCH structure.

The normal term of office for those volunteering as Officers in the College is three years, with the appointment for a further two.
