The NSHPC's longstanding collaboration with the British Paediatric Surveillance Unit (BPSU) is coming to an end. HIV surveillance started in 1986 and has been the longest running condition on the Orange eReporting Card.
The NSHPC is now part of Public Health England’s Infectious Diseases in Pregnancy Screening (IDPS) Programme. The NSHPC will expand to conduct surveillance of the other two screened for infections in pregnancy (syphilis and hepatitis B) as the newly launched Integrated Screening Outcomes Surveillance Service (ISOSS).
The NSHPC Online system means that paediatric reporting is now done directly using secure accounts. If you are a consultant paediatrician who is likely to report HIV-exposed/infected cases and require an NSHPC account, please contact nshpc@ucl.ac.uk.
