Child Health Futures - Research

Our vision is a healthier future for children and young people in the UK and across the world. To achieve this, we deliver individual research projects and contribute to a development fund for rare diseases. Can you support us?

Research is essential for advancing the science of paediatrics and improving the health and wellbeing of infants, children and young people. Despite this, there is limited funding for child health research from the UK’s public sector. There’s a shortage of people, too: worryingly few paediatric academics exist, and a decline in the number of researchers betokens an anxious future for child health research.

We support the delivery of high-quality work by paediatric researchers to ensure that College outputs contribute directly to the evidence base. In collaboration with British Paediatric Surveillance Unit (BPSU), we’ve also set up our rare disease development fund to support research and education in rare diseases. You can find out more about our rare disease development fund.

There are several ways you can donate to support our work in Child Health Research. Every donation helps, and we thank you! Find out more here.
