Education & Professional Development team

We develop and deliver the education and professional development portfolio to support and benefit paediatricians and child health professionals.

This includes a range of face-to-face and online education programmes, support tools, guidance and advice on careers, revalidation and continuing professional development (CPD), and processing CPD approvals and endorsement of external programmes. We are responsible for the development of international education activity.

Our aims:

  • Provide a quality portfolio that meets the needs of the workforce, is educationally robust, value for money and positively impacts on practice fit with the college's strategic aims
  • Set the standards for excellent training and lifelong education of paediatricians in the UK and overseas, including career advice and support for members at all levels, from trainee to consultant
  • Facilitate the development of a knowledgeable and competent multidisciplinary child health workforce by offering quality educational programmes
