Paediatrics to be included on Shortage Occupation List

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has recommended that all medical practitioners be placed on the Shortage Occupation List - a real achievement for the College which has repeatedly requests that paediatrics be fully included on the list in all 4 countries in the UK.

Hospital ban on sale of high-energy drinks to under-16s

The sale of high-energy drinks to under-16s is being banned in hospital retail units. RCPCH's Officer for Scotland welcomes the move to "make NHS hospital sites healthier", but wants "similar measures put in place off NHS sites, to protect and improve child health across Scotland".
